ELMA RPA Standard or Enterprise edition is required.
The Bots section contains bots that interact with the server. You can only work with the bots that are registered in the Orchestrator and are available for receiving tasks.
When you connect a bot for the first time, the Orchestrator displays a notification about the new bot indicating the ID and the registration request. Read more about working with a bot in the "Bot" article.
All the bots are grouped by their status: Request, Allowed, Blocked, Connected.
The Request tab displays the bots waiting for the administrator permission to connect to the Orchestrator. If there are any bots with this status, the corresponding notification will be displayed on the Bots page. The counter next to the section name on the left and next to the tab name indicates the number of bots with the Request status.
The Allowed tab displays the bots that have received the administrator permission for connecting to the Orchestrator and can receive and perform tasks
The Blocked tab displays the bots that were blocked.
The Connected tab displays the bots that are currently connected to the Orchestrator.
Each tab displays the bot name, the groups it belongs to, the bot version, OS, IP address, as well as the date and time the bot was created and updated. Moreover, here you can see if the bot is connected to the Orchestrator:
— the bot is currently connected to the Orchestrator;
— the bot is not connected to the Orchestrator.
The bot page
You can get detailed information about the bot or edit its data in the bot card. To open the card, click on the bot's name. The card consists of two blocks:
- In the first one you can edit the bot's name and description, add the groups it will belong to, and view the information about the bot and its environment: its version, OS, network address, PC name, user, CPU, RAM, as well as creation and update date and time.
- Here you can view the history of completed tasks — a list of tasks completed by the bot. The task information is displayed as a table, which can be customized:
- the Number field indicates the number of rows per page;
- the button allows updating the table data;
- you can sort data in ascending or descending order. To do this, click on the column name. Click once again to change the sorting order.
The Search field allows you to search for all the tasks related to a process. Start entering the process name in the search bar. The search results will immediately be displayed in the table.
The list displays the task ID, the related process and its version, the task status, the external system that set the task, as well as the task creation date and time. You can view the log to see the detailed task information ().
A bot can receive and perform tasks only if it is connected to the Orchestrator. To allow the bot connecting to the Orchestrator, click the Allow button displayed in the card of a blocked/new bot with the Required status. After that, the bot will receive the Allowed status.
You can block a bot from connecting to the Orchestrator. To do this, click the Block button on the top panel of the bot card. The bot’ status will change, and it will not be able to receive or perform tasks.
You can search for a bot by its name in the Bots section. Start entering a name in the search bar. The search results will immediately be displayed in the table.
You can search for bots by their statuses. The advanced search form is hidden by default. To hide/open it, click on the button.
Select the required status. The list of the bots matching the status will appear.
