Log Message

The Log Message activity allows you to add any text and values of process context variables to log files. You can view them to monitor process execution and system errors. By default, logs are generated by the system.

If you need to monitor the values of the context variables at a certain process stage, add the Action logging activity to the process diagram. When the process reaches this operation, the message you specified will be written to log files. Read more about log files in the System logs monitoring article. Action log is displayed in the Orchestrator, in the Tasks section.

Activity settings

To open the settings window, click on the activity on the process diagram.

Parameters Tab

The Parameters tab displays the basic element parameters.

  • Name. The activity name on the process diagram. Its name is set by default when adding the activity. You can change the name in this field;
  • Message. Data for adding to the log files. It can contain text and values of process context variables. Click  the add variables button button and select a variable. The added variables are displayed as {$variable name}. You can fill in the field manually, following the same format.
