A Task is a process start request. Tasks are added to the execution queue. The Orchestrator tracks the queue and assigns the task to bots. When a bot starts executing a task, the process starts.

You can find all the information about tasks in the Tasks section. To open the section, click on its name in the left menu. The counter next to the section name indicates the number of tasks in queue and in progress.

The tasks executed by bot are grouped in four tabs depending on the status:

  • In queue;
  • Completed;
  • In progress;
  • Completed with error.

You can switch between tabs to look through the details of the tasks of any status.

The tasks are displayed as a table. You can sort them in ascending or descending order. To do this, click on the column name. Another click changes the sorting order.

In queue Tab

The In queue tab displays the tasks waiting to be executed.

tasks-1

The task list contains the task ID, the process to execute and its version, the external system that set the task, and the task creation date and time. Besides, here you can set the task priority:

priority-3 — high priority;

priority-2 — medium priority;

priority-1 — low priority.

High priority tasks are executed first.

You can change a task's priority or delete a task. To do this, open the task context menu and select the required option.

The In progress tab displays the tasks being performed at the moment.

tasks-3

The task list displays the task ID, the bot that performed it, the process it is performed by and its version, the external system that set the task, and the task creation date and time.

To delete a task from the list, click on the delete button button.

Completed with error Tab

The Completed with error tab displays the tasks that were completed with errors. The number of such tasks is displayed next to the tab name.

tasks-4
