A user with permissions to access an app can interact with the app and its items. Access permissions can be set up when creating the app or later in its settings.
Access is granted to groups of users. A user who is not included in such a group will not see the app or its folders in the left menu of the workspace. He or she will be able to interact with app items only if given direct links.
When a user tries to access the app, first the workspace permissions are checked; then, the permissions configured for the app.
Only the users included in the Administrators group can manage access settings.
Click the gear icon next to the name of the app and select App Access.
In the window that appears, select the groups of users who will see the app in their left menu.
For example, you want to make the Contract app available only to the sales department employees. Click the magnifying glass icon and select the Sales department group from the list, then save the changes.
Now users who are not included in the specified groups will not be able to see the app in the workspace left menu, and access it even using a direct URL.
Please note that apart from the accessibility settings, each app also has access settings. You can restrict access to the entire app, its folders and items for certain employees.
